Insurance and Fees

Medicaid Information

We want our clients to focus on their mental health wellness instead of coverage. We have opened up a contract with Oregon Health Plan (OHP) which is Oregon’s state Medicaid program. As long as you are an active member, we do all the billing for you, and you have no co-pay for your sessions. OHP Medicaid allows us to provide you with weekly sessions for mild/moderate care. Your authorization in our office may provide a limited number of sessions, and may require reauthorization to continue.

Medicaid/OHP is regional and we may not be in your network for care. In most cases we can still work with you if we get pre-authorization as an out-of-network OHP office. In the Portland metro area, your OHP mental health coverage is provided by CareOregon/HealthShare, Trillium or Pacific Source.

PPO Insurance and Private Pay

We do offer a private pay option for people that may have a private insurance (which we do not accept) or have no insurance. Our fee is $100 per 30-minute session. And $180 for a clinical hour.

We accept credit cards and some HSA- Health Savings Account Cards that are processed prior to your appointment. We are able to store a card in your encrypted chart and can automatically process your payment for your convenience.

It May Be Time For

Psychological Support

This is an office that specializes in the treatment of women. There are times in life when a woman can feel off balance and can’t seem to snap out of it. When our own natural support system just isn’t enough, it may be time to reach out to a professional counselor to start the process of therapy.

Our new office in Portland provides effective and reliable Teletherapy services for women. It has proven to be a very viable way to meet with clients.  During our sessions, we meet face-to-face, utilize the whiteboard and share important visual materials with you.  We recognize the importance of a good therapeutic relationship and strive to build a positive rapport, treating each client with respect and dignity.  This office now accepts Medicaid clients.

“I have been going to Valerie for just short of a year. I have learned how to manage my PTSD and depression in my everyday life, instead of struggling to hold a job. I am now employed full time, going to school full time and juggling four children. She is amazing at what she does and helps you find your right path to becoming the best you possible. Thank you for all you have helped me accomplish this year. “
